The Alaskan Flower Essence Project (AFEP) was started by Steve Johnson in 1984 when he was a firefighter in a remote area of Alaska.
The Alaskan environment has remained very pure, due to the fact that it is one of the few places on the planet that has been relatively unaffected by human activity. Because of this the plant and elemental kingdoms are still active and accessible. This vibrational purity led the AFEP to develop a threefold system of healing based on the co-creative relationship that exists between the plant, mineral and elemental kingdoms.
Flower essences, from the plant kingdom, occupy the central role in this system. Alaskan flowers have had to develop special adaptations to ensure their chances for survival in an extreme climate characterized by constant change. These attributes are also relevant to humanity in our current environment of continual transformation. By awakening positive qualities of consciousness within, the flower essences enable us to open to and complete our life lessons with increased awareness and understanding.
Gem elixirs, from the mineral kingdom, help us fully anchor and embody changes in consciousness that are catalyzed by the use of flower essences. The gem elixirs stabilise and restructure our energy systems so that our physical bodies can maintain balance as our consciousness grows and expands.
Environmental essences, come from the elemental kingdom, providing the potent qualities of energy we need to create and sustain change at the core level of our being.
Soul Support is the Alaskan emergency care formula. It brings strength and stability during emergencies, stress and trauma, while providing support to rejuvenate and restore balance on all levels. The Soul Support Spray contains lavender essential oil, which brings its soothing and clarifying properties to the Soul Support combination. Soul Support Spray is especially useful for calming, grounding, and centering the energy in our environment, as well as in our personal energy field.
Fireweed Combo supports the processes of transformation, transition, and change. It can be used to prepare for a transformational experience of any kind, but it is especially useful when we are in the middle of an intense process and need extra support to get through it. Fireweed Combo enables us to access the support we need to face our fears, let go of our resistance, and open to the process as it moves forward, through each stage, to its completion.
Lighten Up was designed specifically for people who suffer from light deprivation, either because of where they live (in the northern latitudes or in a dark apartment), or because of the quality of their energy system (energy pathways blocked or undeveloped). It works on three main levels. The first is to open and cleanse the chakras so we can draw more life force energy through appropriate channels already present in our energy system. The second is to cleanse and expand the energy pathways in our physical body. One of the things that drew us to the Alaskan combination essences is their Sacred Space Sprays. Those of you who have been reading these newsletters for the last 5 years know what importance we place on energetic hygiene and particularly keeping our living and working environments energetically healthy.
The three combination essences described hereafter and the Sacred Space Sprays made with them were created to address the increasing difficulty of maintaining our health in this crowded, fast paced world.
